The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce a series of exciting AI-related events during the week of April 8-12, 2024.
Monday, April 8
AI Week Intro Day
AI Week kicks off with events around campus exploring various AI topics, including a panel discussion that addresses ethics and equity in using AI and a College of Science AI Showcase.
Tuesday, April 9
The Role of AI in Education Day
Microsoft's Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Michael J. Jabbour, will visit the Corvallis campus to discuss the role of AI in education and how students, faculty and staff can utilize generative AI for success.
Wednesday, April 10
NVIDIA/Mark III GPU Day
NVIDIA and Mark III are teaming up to bring you an action-packed day of learning about what GPUs are, how they can help your research and how to optimize them for your workloads. Morning talks will be followed by afternoon breakout sessions, with a catered lunch in between. Registration is not required to attend.
Thursday, April 11
Researcher Day
Explore the ways that AI can expand research at Oregon State University and its wider impact. Events include office hour sessions with NVIDIA and a professional development seminar for students hosted by SEMI Pacific Northwest.
Friday, April 12
Global Futures Forum: Artificial Intelligence
The Global Futures Forum will showcase Oregon State’s leading work in areas of importance to and with broad implications for society, industry, government, the workforce, and citizenry. The Forum will highlight Oregon State’s groundbreaking research, related educational offerings and thought leadership. The event will create a forum for dialogue among OSU and leading external thinkers, scholars, and leaders.
